Born in Toronto, Christoph Chung started the piano with his mother when he was 3 and further his studies with Ms. Marina Geringas and Ms. Aster Lai. He also found his passion in the violin, under the tutelage of Ms. Janet Wilchfort and later with Mr. Tak-Ng Lai. When he turned 14, he began studying the viola with Mr. Tak-Ng Lai. He now attends the University of Ottawa for viola performance with Professor Michael van der Sloot. He has attended le Domaine Forget, the junior and senior programs of the Young Artists Program in Ottawa, the uOttawa Summer Strings Academy, the Centre Stage Strings program in Michigan, and the Kneisel Hall Young Artist Chamber Music Program
